Zarcom Inc. takes the security of the Zarcall cloud communications platform (“Zarcall”) seriously. This page summarizes the practices we use to protect your account and communications data. It is part of our Legal Center and should be read with our Privacy Policy. No system is perfectly secure, and security is a shared responsibility — you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and managing your users’ access.
Encryption in transit
Traffic between your browser or app and Zarcall is protected with industry-standard TLS encryption (HTTPS). Signaling and media for voice, messaging, and fax are carried over protected connections between Zarcall and our carrier partners.
Password hashing
Account passwords are never stored in plain text. They are stored as salted, one-way hashes using industry-standard hashing algorithms, so that stored credentials cannot be reversed into the original password.
Secure authentication
We use secure sign-in and session management, including protections against common attacks such as cross-site request forgery and session hijacking. Administrators can manage user access, roles, and permissions within their organization.
Infrastructure security
The Service runs on reputable cloud infrastructure providers in secured facilities. Our network is protected by DNS, CDN, and edge-security services that help mitigate malicious traffic and denial-of-service attempts, and we apply security updates and hardening to our systems.
Access controls
Access to production systems and customer data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, using the principle of least privilege. Vendors that process data on our behalf are bound by contract to protect it and use it only to provide their services.
Monitoring and logging
We log authentication events and system activity and monitor for suspicious or abusive behavior, errors, and availability issues, so that we can detect and respond to potential security events.
Incident response
We maintain internal procedures to investigate, contain, and remediate suspected security incidents. Where a data breach affecting personal information occurs, we will notify affected customers and regulators as required by applicable law.
Backups
We maintain backups of critical systems and data to support recovery and business continuity, and we work to protect the integrity and availability of your data. Customers are responsible for exporting any recordings, faxes, or records they wish to retain independently before closing an account.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability or have a security concern, please contact us at info@zarcall.com so we can investigate promptly.
